Identifying water conservation opportunities is an important service BASE has performed for commercial, agricultural, food processing and industrial facilities. Our engineers make recommendations, then analyze the embedded energy savings that come from implementing those recommendations.

> Design review for energy efficiency

BASE has helped over 150 facility owners and design firms review non-residential, new construction designs for energy efficiency. Our engineers bring extensive field experience and knowledge of state-of-the-art, energy-efficient technologies to each review. BASE evaluates the engineering and economic merits of the proposed system and building enhancements over state or industry standards. Our design review process includes:

  • Initial discussion with facility representative and design firm
  • Review of preliminary design documents to identify potential for energy efficiency
  • Establishing baseline energy consumption based on industry standard or state code/standard
  • Evaluation of the engineering and economic merits of proposed improvements
